You know the worst part is I don't know where people read the warning that these games don't play well on PS5. Because they ARE NOT on the website that lists the incompatible games lol. I've sent over $100 recently on various assassin's creed games. Granted most of the money was on Odyssey in Valhalla ultimate and gold editions respectively.
As far as I'm aware it's still locked at 30fps at 900p resolution, the only way I'm aware of to play at 60fps is to have the original disc version with no patches so you play version 1.0, they patched and locked the framerate shortly after release and any digital game should be patched up to date which would include that patch to limit fps.
I recently picked up the gold edition of Assassin's Creed Odyssey over the holidays for 50$. I haven't played an AC game through since AC3 which, contrary to popular opinion, I really enjoyed.
